Research Summary
PROGRESS-HF Phase 2 trial in HFrEF showed trends toward improved LVEF but did not meet primary endpoint (LVESV change). Preclinical data in canine HF model showed normalized mitochondrial respiration and improved LVEF from 25% to 35%. Ex vivo human failing heart tissue showed improved mitochondrial function.
