Chinese randomized trials report HbA1c improvement versus placebo and, in a distinct background-therapy trial, versus dulaglutide. A 2026 DREAMS-3 conference abstract reports superiority on a 32-week composite endpoint versus semaglutide 1 mg in selected Chinese adults with early type 2 diabetes and obesity; a full results paper was not identified in this review. None of these results compares all GLP-1-based therapies.
