Research Summary

In the obesity-with-type-2-diabetes cohort of the published Phase 2 trial (NCT05669599; Jastreboff et al., NEJM 2025), maridebart cafraglutide produced up to -12.3% body weight at 52 weeks vs -1.7% with placebo, along with HbA1c reductions of 1.2 to 1.6 percentage points. The MARITIME-2 Phase 3 trial (NCT06858878) is evaluating efficacy in adults with type 2 diabetes and obesity or overweight; it is ongoing and has not yet reported.
