High Evidence Research Overview

CagriSema Research for Obesity

An evidence-based overview of research examining CagriSema in the context of obesity. This page synthesizes findings from peer-reviewed literature.

Research Summary

CagriSema has been evaluated in Phase 3 REDEFINE trials for chronic weight management. REDEFINE-1 demonstrated 20.4% mean weight loss at 68 weeks in adults with overweight or obesity (vs 3.0% with placebo), with significantly more participants reaching >=20%, >=25%, and >=30% weight-loss targets than placebo. The newest verified paper, Khan et al. (PMID 42608559), is a GRADE meta-analysis of kilogram differences (pooled −7.58 kg vs semaglutide, −9.24 kg vs cagrilintide, −13.99 kg vs placebo), not a percent estimand.
