A 2023 mechanistic study from the Khavinson laboratory examined Thymalin and its active EW/KE dipeptides in the context of COVID-19, showing in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells that they suppress the cytokine-storm cytokines IL-1B, IL-6 and TNF-a by 1.4-6.0 fold.
